my teaching approach

Music is a Discipline and a Joy.

Students have nearly limitless potential, and will rise to meet any expectation, once they connect to the instrument and feel the excitement of performing. I like to assign songs which are fun and achievable in the short term, balanced with concepts and excercises for long-term development.
Music is all-encompassing field of study.  Students' issues of daily life, questions, and outside interests can all be incorporated into the lesson, helping to combine their individuality with the study of a deeper tradition.
