Where Does NYMG Teach?
Don't be fooled by our name! We teach one-on-one lessons throughout the country. Currently, group lessons are offered only in New York City.
How long are lessons?
Each lesson is one hour in length. In our experience, one hour is the most productive for our students.
How often do lessons occur?
Weekly lessons are standard; however, many of our students choose to have lessons more frequently.
What do lessons cost?
Good News! We are currently offering a special discount to new clients. Lessons are $74 per hour when you register for an 8 lesson package, and $69 when you register for a 12 lesson package. You can pay monthly or all at once.
Do I have to sign a contract?
For your protection, students and/or legal guardians are required to agree to our policies and procedures. However, there is no commitment beyond the lessons you've purchased. You may request a refund after the first lesson if you are at all unsatisfied.
Are there registrations fees?
There are no registration fees.
What's your lesson cancellation policy
All lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance in order to be rescheduled.
Where are lessons held?
Our teachers will travel to your home. If you’d prefer to have lessons in our studios, we can arrange that as well.
Does NYMG offer group lessons?
We currently offer group lessons only in New York City. Please call us at (888) 777-NYMG for more information.
How does NYMG select teachers?
All teachers undergo a rigorous interview process and background check. More importantly, we make sure that all of our teachers are accomplished musicians who understand what it means to teach and perform music.
What if I am unsatisfied with my teacher or my instrument?
You may change teachers and instruments at any time.
Do you rent instruments?
If you need us to rent an instrument for you or your child, please check the box “I need to rent an instrument” when you enroll. We will coordinate a rental for you.
